My Toddler Preparing for the Baby’s Arrival

My son, Fox, has been *super* attached to me lately. With the family changes about to happen I’m really wondering if a 19 month old would pick up the vibes of these changes and that would cause him to be more attached? I’m thinking yes.

The new baby’s arrival isn’t something we’ve talked about a lot, tho now that I’m in the last trimester and my belly is swelling, its more obvious something is going on. I’ve told Fox that mama has a baby inside her and it is growing and getting big. I’ve helped him use “gentle hands” to rub the baby bump while telling him the baby is growing. After several weeks of this, Fox ran up to me while I was attempting to sit comfortably in our recliner, gently pet my belly, leaned over and kissed it, and then ran on to continue playing.
