Dear mom,

I know I’ve always been a strong willed child. I know we have butted heads more than we have agreed. And I know I’ve harshly judged your parenting on more occasions than I’d like to admit.

I appreciate the sacrifices you’ve made for me. Having a Homebirth, breastfeeding, homeschooling. I’m sure there is more. Being a mother is hard. And not something someone who isn’t a mother yet will ever fully understand. Continue reading “A letter to my mom”

A letter to my mom

Whole 30, the first 10 days

Hubby and I decided to do a round of Whole 30, which I wrote about not long ago. My main goal was to break my sugar addiction. I’m 10 days in writing this overview of the first week.

Day 1 was a little difficult because I didn’t have any complaint foods prepared. The first few days I felt like all did was cook. All. Day. Long. This was exhausting and overwhelming. I was not only preparing my meals, but also prepping meals for hubby to take to work.
